Sprinkler Fire Designer
We currently have an immediate job opening for experienced Fire Sprinkler Deisgner in our main office in central Maine. Job details are as follows:
Design Fire Sprinkler Systems for all sized commercial & residential projects. Perform layout using AutoCAD / HydraCAD. Create pipe lists for fabrication. Prepare project submittals in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes. Perform field surveys for coordination and as-built conditions. Attend coordination and progress project meetings. Maintain communication with office and field operations, as well as architects, engineers, and general contractors to ensure smooth work schedule and process.
Candidate must be efficient and organized. Multitasking is a must as this position consists of operating multiple projects simultaneously. Good computer skills are a must. The ability to understand verbal instruction and take written notes and quickly translate them into accurate products is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design & Layout of Fire Sprinkler Systems
- Field Surveying
- Listing for Fabrication
- Coordination Between Trades
- Experienced in NFPA #13,13R, 13D and building codes.
- 2-3 years minimum experience in the Fire Protection Design Field
- 2-3 years minimum experience of AutoCad and Hydracad
- Ability to multi-task
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skills and a tema player attitude
- Candidates must successfully complete pre-employment background check
